Fee Structure
Fee Structure
(depending on client needs and project scope, different fee mechanisms, from the list below, may be appropriate):
- Hourly rate: The hourly rate for time-limited projects is negotiable.
- Project-based fees: For activities that exceed short-term projects (conducive to an hourly rate), Ralf will negotiate a predetermined fee for a defined set of deliverables.Â
- Value-based fees: For some projects there may be tangible and intangible benefits generated for the client. Ralf will negotiate value-based fees with the client that are independent of the actual hours put in.
- Retainer fees: This involves a regular payment for access to Ralf's expertise, regardless of the hours worked. This is a good choice if the client's goal is to receive ongoing support from a specialist.
Start-Up Fees
Some arrangements may involve start-up fees. These are one-time fees for initiating a clinical trial, covering administrative, regulatory, and financial aspects. Examples include:
- Administrative Start-Up Fee:Â Varies based on protocol complexity.
- IRB Fees:Â Include initial review fees, continuing review fees, and amendment fees.
- Maintenance Fees:Â These are ongoing fees for maintaining the study and the site. Examples include annual fees for storing and archiving study documents
